Bio

Seba Noya was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lived his first years in Mississauga, Canada. Formed as a bassist, double bassist, pianist, arranger and composer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, SN has encountered a broad spectrum of musical genres. Graduated in from the Escuela de Música Juan Pedro Esnaola and the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (Berklee International Network), he has found his place in the music of Latin-America, and is specialised in Tango. A former member of the Orquesta Escuela de Tango Emilio Balcarce, he has played, toured and recorded with the most renowned argentine artists; Leopoldo Federico, Víctor Lavallén, Julio Pane, José Colángelo, Lidia Borda, Diego Schissi, Daniel Melingo, Ramiro Boero, Fernando Marzán, Andrés Linetzky, Aca Seca Trio, Ramiro Gallo, Exequiel Mantega, Ariel Ardit, La Orquesta del Tango de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Daniel Zisman and Ute Lemper.

SN has worked on several socio-pedagogic programs of the Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires as a double bass teacher. He has also participated as a substitute teacher at the Orquesta Escuela de Tango Emilio Balcarce.

He currently lives in Bern, Switzerland, where he studies for his masters degree in composition at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. He is engaged as a double bassist, bassist, pianist, composer and arranger in several musical projects across Europe, including El Muro (Norway), Orquesta Silencio (Germany), Los Milonguitas, Ensemble Murgier and Astor XXI (France), Azimut (USA), Cadenero Tango (Spain), Marisol Redondo, Marcela Arroyo, and Daniel Zisman (CH).
